Cats are not difficult, they are just extremely specific. Everything on this shelf assumes that, so there is rope built to be destroyed, a window seat with a proper view, dinner that takes a bit of work to reach, and somewhere high up that was your idea and will be presented as theirs. You will know within about four minutes whether your cat approves.
